It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Joseph Shannon announces his passing, which occurred at his home on April 24, 2019. Born July 23, 1951, he was the son of Edward and the late Marie (Burke) Shannon.
Eric was a gentle soul with a heart that was true and he was loved by all that knew him. He was a die-hard Canadiens fan, win or lose, and he never missed a game if he could help it.
Eric is survived by his father, Edward Joseph Shannon; 3 brothers, Paul Shannon (Patti) of Sackville, Peter Shannon (Helen) of Saint John and Barry Shannon (Monique) of Moncton; 4 sisters, Anita Stevens (Brian), Gail Shannon (Vaughan), Janet Shannon Voutour, all of Saint John and Mary Claire Follette (Robert) of Montreal, special family member, Laura as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral service. The family will receive relatives and friends to remember Eric on May 4, 2019 from 1 to 4pm at Rocmaura Nursing Home, 10 Parks St, Saint John, NB
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor`s choice would be appreciated.
