It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Enzo on Friday December 18th, at the Anna Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay, Québec.
Enzo was the beloved husband and best friend of the late Anna Maria Marion Franchetto and loving father and father-in law of Barbara Franchetto and David Klebanoff, Giuliano Franchetto and Denis Franchetto. Dear brother of Maria Basso and Arturo Soligo and brother-in-law of Teresa and Policarpo Quagliotto, Luigi and Flaviana Marion, Gabriella and Giancarlo Gobbato, and Lucia Milan. Devoted Nonno of Zachary, Max, Quentin, Benjamin and Molly.
Enzo was always quick with a chuckle and joke. He loved to entertain with tales of his youth in Italy and early immigrant years in Canada. He would occasionally break out in song and delight us with his singing voice. Like many of Italians of his generation, he worked in construction all his life. It took its toll on his body and he underwent one knee and three hip replacements over the course of his life. His memory though, never failed him. He would tease us mercilessly when he remembered things we did not. Rest assured, we will never forget him or stop loving him.
