It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious Lorraine Fillion (née Reeves) on November 16, 2024 at the age of 85.
Lorraine was born on November 6, 1939 to parents Joseph And Irene (Berwick) Reeves. Once a young girl raised in Griffintown, Lorraine eventually settled in Chateauguay with her husband Michel, where they built their family and shared 62 beautiful years together. Her family meant the world to her, and she was known for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many.
Lorraine leaves behind her aforementioned husband and soul mate, Michel, and their two daughters, Sherry Lynn (Pierre) and Sandra (Lorenzo). She was a proud Nanny to Anabel, Liam, Chelsea, Connor, Dylan, Cameron and Quinn. She will also be sorely missed by her sister and best friend, Shirley (the late Kenny), and by many other family and friends.
To any and all who knew her, Lorraine was a loving soul, whose reach on people’s lives was meaningful and tender. Her gentle kindness and compassionate spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the CLSC staff, specifically Stéphanie and Amélie. We would also like to thank Dr. Jean Marc Bourque from the CHUM for his guidance and compassion.
Condolences will be held on November 27, 2024 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (295 rue McLeod, Chateauguay, J6J 2H8) from 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
