Giuseppe Paoliello (Joe), 66, of Châteauguay passed away peacefully surround by his loving family on Thursday October 16, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was born to the late Rocco and Incoronata Paoliello, Jan. 8, 1948, in Macchiagodena, Italy. Joe and his family immigrated to Canada in the winter of 1959, and settled in the city of Montreal. While in Montreal he met and married his soul mate Filomena Vespoli whom together started a family in Châteauguay Quebec.
He was a devoted family man who gave tirelessly to his family and friends.
He is survived by three children: Tania Paoliello and Robert Robinson, of Gatineau; Nadine Paoliello, of Brossard; and Rosanna Paoliello and Alexander Terrigno, of Châteauguay. He also is survived by two grandchildren Emilia and Abigail Rose Robinson.
He also leaves behind his brother and sisters in Montreal and Italy as well as his nieces and nephews and other family and friends.The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Madre dei Cristiani, 7935 Rue Lefebvre, LaSalle, QC H8N 2A9 followed by the burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.The family would like to thank l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and l’Hopital Anna-Laberge and their staff for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Fondation de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont under the name of Giuseppe Paoliello.
