It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of loving husband and devoted father, Mr Aldwin Ballantyne, on January 15th 2022, at the age of 57 years old.
Aldwin is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Cheryl, along with his three daughters, Janelle, Jenika and Jannay. He will be deeply missed by his countless family members, friends and co-workers.
Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago on October 16, 1964 to Judith Burke and Hurbert Ballantyne, Aldwin would leave the Caribbean island and his siblings: Karen Burke, Bernice Burke, Jazmine Ballantyne Martyr, Ricardo Ballantyne (deceased), Merl Ballantyne (deceased), Waynette Avonne Ballantyne, Rennie Ballantyne (deceased) and Anton Ballantyne, at the age of 22 to build a life for himself here in Canada.
Aldwin was the handiest of handymen, finding joy in making something from nothing. An electrician by trade, he had many jobs throughout the years, with his most recent position held at the Jewish General Hospital.
Aldwin’s legacy, putting God first and family right after, will live on forever.
A private funeral is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on February 12, 2022 at the Alexandre Nicole Complexe Funéraire in Chateauguay.
