SEALY, Elliott Leon

On Thursday, March 22, 2018, Elliott Leon Sealy, age 86, passed away peacefully at home in Chateauguay, Quebec, in the presence of his loving family. Leon was born on September 6, 1931, in Christ Church, Barbados, to Aubrey Sealy and Clementine Sealy-Walcott. On May 25, 1960, Leon married Mavis “Synthia” Kirton and together they had three daughters and one son. After leaving Barbados and living in England for seven years, Leon moved with his family to Montreal, Quebec, where he continued to work and then enjoy his retirement in Chateauguay.

Leon is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mavis “Synthia”; daughters, Rosalind (Andre) and Joycelene; son, Barrie (Jenness); five grandchildren, Tashia, Shanna, Thamar, Jabez, and Donovan; and two great-grandsons, Jahmain and Kairi. Leon was predeceased by his daughter, Tina; and his five siblings, Michael, Doris, Clyde, Henson, and Laurie. Leon will be forever remembered by his family, extended family, and friends.

Family and friends may pay their respects between 1 and 3 p.m., on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the Alexandre Nicole Complexe Funéraire Chateauguay. A memorial service in the Chapel of the funeral home will follow at 3 p.m.
